President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday had a closed-door meeting,
one after the other with three Northern governors at the Presidential Villa,
Abuja.
The three
governors who were Ibrahim Gaidam of Yobe State, Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto and
Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State all gave different reasons why they visited the
president.

own reason with State House correspondents, Governor Gaidam said that he met
with President Buhari to felicitate with him on his recovery from his medical
trip as well as to demand for a refund of N13 billion his state expended on
security issues during the last administration.
Gaidam added
that he also solicited for assistance from the Federal Government over the
resettlement of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) in Yobe State.
Tambuwal said
that he was at the Presidential Villa to chat about security situations in the
country with the President and to deliberate on why it is necessary to explore
oil on the Sokoto belt, which he said will improve the economic base of the
country.
And Jigawa
governor, Badaru also told State House correspondents that he came to let
President Buhari know some of the efforts, a committee on how to diversify on
